Why use Soy wax over paraffin?
Soy wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources; whereas classic paraffin wax is made from petroleum and is non-renewable.
Soy wax burns slower than paraffin wax, and is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. This creates a longer lasting candle that is well balanced and true to scent. While all candles do emit some black soot while burning, candles made from soy wax burn cleaner and result in less soot.
Jar Return Program
Here at Witchy Candle Company, we love our Mother Earth and are dedicated to reducing our waste and environmental footprint.
One of the ways we accomplish this is through our candle jar return program.
To drop off your used jars, please contact us at witchycandlecompany@gmail.com or through our contact form at the bottom of our website. No need to clean the jars, we do all the work to get them ready to become new jars ready to be enjoyed by the next candle lover! We also add a sticker on the bottom of the reused glass showing how many times that jar has been a candle.
Another way is by encouraging our customers to reuse the jars to their hearts delight! Simply put the jar in the freezer to pop out the bottom, or place it in boiling water to melt out the remaining wax and wick clip for disposal, wash out the jar with hot soapy water and enjoy!

Hi!
My name is Elizabeth and I am the owner, operator of Witchy Candle Company.
Witchy Candle Company was born out of my obsession with witchcraft and witches from the films and tv of my youth and a love of all things scented.
My goal is to bring to life (in candle form) all of my favourite characters and movies, as well as encourage others to send in their suggestions of which “witchy” character or movie they would like to smell next.
I am a small, home based business that sources all of my ingredients from local wholesalers across Canada. All candles are hand poured in small batches to retain the highest in quality control.
